The only event dedicated to Oman’s power and water sector development and investment opportunities

Following the success of Oman Power & Water Summit 2011, IQPC and GEC are pleased to announce that the 2nd Annual Oman Power & Water Summit will take place at the Grand Hyatt Muscat, Oman, on 6 - 9 May 2012.

With over 300 attendees throughout the 4 days, a strong line-up of speakers consisting of government officials and industry professionals and the participation of leading companies, the Oman Power & Water Summit is the only high-profile event dedicated to major infrastructure projects and investment opportunities in the Sultanate’s power and water sector.

Developed in cooperation with the Public Authority for Electricity and Water (PAEW) and with the official support of Ministry of Regional Municipalities & Water Resources (MRMWR), Oman Power & Water Procurement Company (OPWP), Authority for Electricity Regulation (AER), Electricity Holding Company (EHC) and Rural Areas Electricity Company (RAECO), the 2012 edition will provide an update on power and water projects in Oman, present the latest innovations and strategies available in the power, water and renewable energy industry as well as review the authorities key strategies, objectives and challenges facing the management and conservation of power and water resources.

The Oman Power & Water Summit is the first event gathering key industry stakeholders and providing them with informative updates on Oman’s power and water projects as well as useful industry insights. Since improving energy efficiency is one of PAEW’s key objectives, we hope that the second edition of the Oman Power & Water Summit will attract even more local and international industry experts to share their ideas on optimising the use of electricity and water resources and enhancing energy efficiency. We look forward to hearing about policies and strategies implemented abroad that we can learn from and use to adapt best practices to respond to our country’s needs.
